The plastic ocarinas are perfect for a child or beginner, as it does take a bit of coordination to learn how to properly hold and maneuver the instrument. Most children can learn to play the instrument in a matter of minutes. The ocarina reminds me of the recorders that my children brought home in early elementary school. If you remember these, it is easy to comprehend how to play the ocarina. If you have never heard the sound from an ocarina, visit THE LISTENING ROOM for an example of the sounds that can be produced.

12 Hole Infinity Ocarina |
The 12 Hole Infinity is one beautiful masterpiece!! It is about 5.5 inches long and is tuned to the key of C Major. It plays both flat and sharp notes. When I first removed it from its protective bag, I was surprised at the quality of the piece. I couldn't refrain from blowing into the mouthpiece and I was rewarded with a musical note that was effortless to do! The songbook provides a good variety of beginner songs and even though I have a lot of practice ahead of me, the ocarina was a dream to play!! I wouldn't recommend this ocarina for a young child as it is breakable, but it is a good start for a teen or adult! Like I said, I have never played music before, so not familiar with the keys, but C Major makes for a delightful sound and song! I still have a lot of coordination to get my fingers to work like they should, but the fun is in trying and trying again to perfect the song! I look forward to playing it for a long time to come and it has quickly become one of my favorite collectible pieces! I highly recommend this product and give it my seal of approval!!!
